With her new album Bittersweet World hitting stores this Tuesday, April 22nd, as well as shotgun wedding and pregnancy rumors, there’s a lot going in the life of Ashlee Simpson.

And the “La La” singer seemed to be doing just fine at last night’s Conde Nast Traveler’s 8th annual Hot List issue party, held at New York’s Mansion.

Thrown into the spotlight for her personal life just prior to the release of her new album Bittersweet World, Ashlee Simpson’s approach to stir up interest for her latest studio work seems to be working like a charm.

The Pieces Of Me has the public talking about her recent engagement announcement with Fall Out Boy beau Pete Wentz - and there’s a lot of baby talk going on right now, too.

Now that she’s engaged (and possibly pregnant) Ashlee Simpson has a whole new world of things to consider.  And who better than a fellow celebrity to help guide her along the way!

The “Little Miss Obsessive” singer and fiancé Pete Wentz were spotted on their way to a double dinner date with new parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden last night.

It’s the gossip that everybody is talking about… rumors about Ashlee Simpson’s pregnancy.  And the “La La” singer certainly didn’t do anything to quell the buzz during a taping of TRL earlier today.

According to an inside source at the taping, Simpson blew off a question about her pregnancy by saying that if all the rumors about her were true, she “would have had a baby by now.”

Pete Wentz denied the Ashlee Simpson pregnancy reports yesterday but, as of this post, Us Weekly is sticking to its story. Here's what Pete had to say to MTV News:

"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," he wrote. "This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. ... I mean really, this is crazy. ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."

With rumors of a pregnancy swirling around her, Ashlee Simpson was spotted arriving at LAX airport on Monday sporting her shiny, new engagement ring.

The Pieces Of Me singer made her way into the travel hub just 10 minutes after big sister Jessica toted her pet pooch Daisy past security without a hitch.
