The only thing as fierce as the competition inside the Kodak Theatre is the battle for shutterbug attention outside.  And it looks like George Clooney took the proper measure to insure success.

The “IMichael Clayton” actor rolled out of his limo with girlfriend of a year Sara Larson by his side, and immediately all eyes were on him.

The Kodak Theatre is the place to be, as Oscar night has just started getting underway – drawing Hollywood’s elite to the red carpet in their stretch limousines and finest garb.

And Tiseltown’s finest are looking ready for their big night, in which stars like Cate Blanchett, Ellen Page, Daniel Day Lewis and George Clooney await the possibility of adding one of the coveted statuettes to their collections.

Spotted out on his Harley-Davidson hog yesterday, George Clooney has a lot on his mind as of late.  With the Oscars coming up, he stands to go home a winner.

But that’s not the most important thing in the “Ocean’s Thirteen” actor’s world.  He’s flexing his political muscle by getting behind Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

There’s nothing like proud parents doting on their children.  And that’s just what was going on last night with the Clooney family, who were spotted out in New York City.

George and his parents were seen grabbing dinner after his big day at the United Nations as a messenger of peace.  And from the huge smiles on his mother and father’s faces, it was clear that they’re extremely proud of their son.
